Bonsai in Feng Shui

Bonsai is a Japanese art form which grows artistic miniature trees in a container. The techniques used and the aesthetics involved in creating a Bonsai tree have become increasingly sophisticated over the years.

Let’s have a look at Bonsai from a Feng Shui perspective. Bonsai plants are not looked upon too favourably by Feng Shui, which is a bit paradoxical, as Bonsai first originated in China. A Bonsai is created through a seed or cutting, and is cultivated to stay small. The plant’s growth is artificially restricted by placing it in a small container/pot, by pruning and root reduction, which limits it’s growth.

Thus, when we place a Bonsai plant in our home, we bring the energy of restriction and limited growth into our life. At a symbolic level, having the bonsai creates stunted growth for the residents of the house. If you want to get rich and keep improving your wealth luck, then make sure you do not display artificially stunted plants in your house. You can use other fast growing plants around your house, as it will ensure that there is ample growth energy in your immediate space.

Happy gardening.

Bedroom Feng Shuiย

When we look at the Feng Shui of a house, we take a lot of things into consideration. We look at the landscape of the house, the position of rooms in the house etc. The master bedroom of the house is one of the main rooms that can have a major impact on the wellbeing of the residents. It can greatly affect the harmony and marriage luck of the couple living in the room.

Some of the key Feng Shui rules for a bedroom are as follows:

The ideal shape of a bedroom is either square or rectangle. Sometimes, a square or a rectangle shaped bedroom becomes an L-shaped room because of the ensuite (attached bathroom). If you find yourself in this situation, then you need to fix the problem. You can regularise the shape by placing a screen or by putting a curtain, or by clever placement of furniture, thereby creating a regular shaped bedroom.

The placement of the bedroom in the house, can have a great impact on your success luck as well. Make sure you do not sleep in a room which has a garage under it. If your bedroom is located above the garage then success luck will be elusive and your plans fizzle out without completion.

Likewise, if your bedroom is located above a kitchen, you will suffer from severe bad luck. Ideally, you should change your bedroom. If you cannot move your room, then try to re-position the bed, so that you are not sleeping directly above the stove.

And as always, I would like to remind everyone of the need to keep the bedroom (and home) free from clutter. When you get rid of clutter in your home, you get rid of a lot of problems you might have been facing in life. If you want to apply one Feng Shui tip, then I would suggest starting with this one, and trust me, you will never look back.

One important thing to remember is that when we apply Feng Shui, we try and fix the problem by applying the relevant cure. As you know, Feng Shui works in many layers and sometimes it can be really hard to get everything right. So, when you apply Feng Shui, keep an open mind and work with what you can change and don’t worry too much about things you cannot change. Start with the simple cures and soon you will be able to see the improvement in your life.

Plants as Wealth energisers

We all know that when we sow a plant, it grows. Plants bring a sense of happiness to their surroundings and cleanse the air too. According to Feng Shui, plants represent growth energy. So when you place a plant in the right corner of your home or office, it creates growth energy for your business.

If you remember, I talked about the different directions and how they have a certain life aspiration attached to it, in an earlier post. Here is a quick reminder for those who might have missed that post.

  • East stands for Health luck,
  • Southeast for Wealth luck,
  • South for Fame and recognition luck,
  • Southwest for Relationship and love luck, plus it is the Mother’s corner, thus, a very important corner of the house,
  • West is for Children’s luck,
  • Northwest is the corner of the Father, thus, another  very important corner,
  • North stands for Career luck and
  • Northeast is the corner for Education luck.

Now, depending on the kind of luck you are looking at improving, you can activate each corner and get that kind of luck.

So, if you are looking at improving your wealth luck, then place a healthy plant in the Southeast corner of your room. Do make sure that the plant is healthy and has rounded, broad leaves. Do not place plants with sharp leaves or thorns in this corner, as it will send out negative energy to the residents of the house, and will negatively affect the finances as well. Take good care of your plants. Healthy plants suggest healthy residents and when placed in the Southeast, suggests healthy finances. Some examples of plants that can be placed in the Southeast are, Jade plant, Money plant, and different kinds of succulents.

Feng Shui Vision Board

I get a high every time I hear about a positive outcome from my clients. A few months ago, a lovely lady attended my Feng Shui Vision Board workshop. She was able to manifest a free book straight after attending my course. (You might remember the post in which I had shared her experience). But her aim was to manifest bigger and better things in life. Her husband had applied for a job in Switzerland and she really wanted to go. After attending the Vision Board class, she had a lot of ideas about what she was going to do, to make it happen. I hadn’t heard from her, so I thought of getting in touch with her. I sent her a message through Facebook a couple of days ago, asking her how things were going? And this was her reply, and I quote…

“Hi Shelly.

Things are very interesting. My husband got the job. We got married and are living in a lovely apartment. My daughter is going to a really great local school. It feels like a really positive move.

I need to make another Vision Board. Thanks for the reminder.”

Well, what can I say. I was so thrilled for her. I love it when people come back with their beautiful success stories.

If you would like to materialise your dreams, then you need to attend my Feng Shui Vision Board Workshop. I will be more than happy to share the magic with you.

Until next time.

Feng Shui or Superstition?

Do you know, a lot of cures that we use in Feng Shui nowadays, are looked upon as ‘Superstition’ by people who do not understand how Feng Shui works. Every culture has its own sets of superstitions. I remember a few superstitions that I grew up with in India. One of them was ‘Not to cut nails at night time’. I can’t remember what the consequence was if someone did cut their nails at night.

I am sure there was a logical explanation behind the superstition. I think it might have started a long time ago, when there was no electricity, and people avoided cutting nails at night time, because they couldn’t see what they were doing and so that they didn’t hurt themselves in the process. And, that tradition carried on through generations. I might be wrong. If you have any other explanation for this particular superstition, please let me know.

I loved this picture taken from Campus Link. It depicts not only the superstition but the consequence of the superstition, if someone didn’t follow it ๐Ÿ˜.

Let’s have some fun with superstitions. Did you grow up with any superstitions? I would love to hear your stories regarding your cultural superstitions. Who knows, we might be able to see a connection between your superstitions and Feng Shui.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Your luck and Feng Shuiย

Today I am going to talk to you about Mankind Luck and how Feng Shui affects it
As we all know, Feng Shui is all about the energy that surrounds us. Feng Shui uses Five elements (Water, Earth, Metal, Wood and Fire) to bring the balance of energy in our surroundings.

According to Feng Shui, every person has three kinds of luck,

Heaven Luck also known as Destiny /Paht Chee Reading (Birth Chart), or Astrology Reading.
Earth Luck or Feng Shui/our surroundings,

Mankind Luck or the Luck we create for ourselves, the decisions or choices we make, and our attitudes.

When we look at the ‘Luck equation’, we can see that every luck occupies 1/3 of the whole.

Are you the kind of person who wants to improve all the time? Do you like to push your comfort zone?

I personally feel that if you are determined to improve your life, then nothing can stop you. It might take longer and it can mean a lot of hard work, but you will definitely get the results. This “attitude” that I am talking about is considered Mankind Luck (1/3). We all make different choices in our lifetime. These choices can change the course of our life immensely.

Now, when we apply Feng Shui, we create Earth Luck (1/3), which means that we add another 1/3 of luck (Mankind + Earth Luck) on our side, making it a total of 2/3, out of the original equation. So, when we apply Feng Shui to our surroundings, we make a choice. This choice can actually make a huge positive impact on our life. And, once you apply Feng Shui, it becomes a lifestyle, so easy to follow and can be easily adapted to suit any home, anywhere in the world. Not only that, once you apply Feng Shui, your life becomes easier, things fall into place and everything starts working in the right direction for you.

If you are ready to change your life, then make a choice today and take action now.

Here’s to a better future for all of you.

Are you thinking of buying or building?

Are you thinking of buying a house? Are you thinking of building your new home? Are you renovating? Are you moving your Office?

If your answer is ‘Yes‘ to any one of the above, then you need to pay extra attention.

Do you know every house/building comes with its own Feng Shui and when ‘YOU’ come into the picture, the interaction between the building’s Feng Shui and your Personal Feng Shui can create a huge impact on you and your family. This impact can be both positive as well as negative.

When you buy a house using Feng Shui principles, that house brings you amazing good luck and abundance. It brings huge improvement in your finances, health, career, relationships etc.

If you are planning to buy, build or renovate, then this is the perfect time to get in touch with me.

“An empty piece of land is like a ‘Blank Canvas’, where we can draw the floor plan and place the rooms in such a way that each room brings good luck to you and every memeber of your family”.

Have you ever noticed how, after moving into a house, your luck changed all of a sudden? Now it could mean that your luck improved immensely or things started going wrong for you. In both the above situations, Feng Shui has had an impact on you. If you were lucky, your luck changed for the better. But if you were not so lucky, then your luck took a nose dive.

Let me know what kind of luck did your house bring you?

In any case, we can really turn things around by applying Feng Shui to your surroundings. All you need to do, to change your luck around, is apply Feng Shui.

And remember, we can apply Feng Shui to your current house with amazing results too. It just means that we have to work with the pre-existing walls, doors and rooms. When you are building or renovating, it gives us a free hand in choosing what we need to place, in which direction. It just opens up a whole world of possibilities then.
