Wealth Luck in Feng Shuiย

Feng Shui can be used very effectively to activate the wealth or prosperity luck. Southeast is the universal wealth direction of every house or building. This sector can be energised by using wood element, which enhances the wealth energy of the home. You can place healthy green plants in the Southeast of your home. This introduces growth energy for the residents of the house, hence bringing more opportunities and increased income as well. You can also place an aquarium (with fish) in the Southeast corner of your home or room. Add a pump to the aquarium so that there is bubbling water, which signifies yang energy. If you are using an aquarium just make sure it is placed on the left hand side of the door, either inside or outside. You can work this out by standing at the door, as if you were about to leave the house and the see whether your water feature is on the left side of the door or it is on the right. We always keep the Feng Shui taboos in mind when applying the activators.

Wishing all of you lots of prosperity.

Cheers.

Change is good

Feng Shui Tip: Change things around

When we apply Feng Shui in our space, we have the flexibility to use any room in the house, which we feel will work well for us.  You can use your own judgement when activating the corners or rooms, or you could start with one room and see how that is affecting your life and change it if you are not satisfied with the results. Feng Shui is all about flexibility. You should use your own style and taste to create a harmonious space for yourself and your family. There will be times when you will not be able to tap into the big tai chi of a certain room, because of the presence of a doorway or a window, then you can look at activating that corner or direction in another room, which is called using the small tai chi. Listen to your inner voice when applying Feng Shui, this will help create a more harmonious environment and ensure that you enjoy good Feng Shui in your home.

We all grow over time and our tastes change as well. So what do you do with the decor that you used to love but don’t like any more? Change it. Get rid of things that you don’t like anymore. It is very important to be comfortable with the objects you have in your space. If you are not happy with a painting, take it off and replace it with something you love. This will create a beautiful space for you, and you will find that you and your family will thrive even more.

We do recommend moving things around on a regular basis anyway. This keeps the energy of the rooms fresh and vibrant. Changing the setting on a regular basis (or once every year) lifts the energy of the space and your life never stagnates. Pay attention to every room and every corner. If you have a room (or a corner) which has been neglected over the years, pay special attention to it. Open up the windows, let the sunlight in, turn the fan on, play some music there. You need to make sure that the energy of the room, and hence that sector, is not getting too quiet or Yin. By cleaning it regularly, and using it, if possible, you create the precious Yang energy and it helps activate the aspiration related to that sector. So, lets see how this works. Let’s say your spare room is in the Southwest sector of your house, and we know that Southwest sector is related to the mother of the house and it is the relationship corner as well. What happens when we let that room collect clutter or get too Yin… Yes, you guessed it right, it will not only affect the mother negatively, it will also affect the relationships of each individual among themselves as well as with the outside world.

So take a look around your home and see if you have any areas that have been neglected. Then declutter, if required, or change the energy by opening up the windows and moving the furniture around. If you do not have the option of changing the setting of the furniture, then just move it while vacuuming and then you can place it back.

Happy moving and shaking.

Cheers.

Is Feng Shui a Fad?

Do you think of Feng Shui as a ‘Fad’? So what is a Fad? A ‘Fad’ is a temporary notion or thought followed enthusiastically by a group of people. I would say, ‘No, it isn’t’. Feng Shui has been around for over 5000 years now. Though it’s origins started in China, it spread to the rest of the world and has managed to survive the trials and tribulations of time. It always amazes me how the principles and calculations done all those years ago still work. It is an amazing feat no doubt. I know you will say that there are so many other inventions that were made thousands of years ago, which are still being used today and continue to be the basis for new inventions. I agree wholeheartedly, but it still is mind blowing, isn’t it?

So when something seems to survive the test of time, again and again, surely that system works. Feng Shui is still being used very effectively and it still delivers positive results, when applied properly. I can’t think of any other system which helps improve our lives on so many levels, as Feng Shui does.

So, for all those people who are still sceptical about the efficacy and use of Feng Shui, I would say, ‘Keep an open mind’. There is so much out there that we do not understand but that doesn’t mean it is all hocus-pocus. It is only when we see results that we start believing in it. But my question to you is, “If you don’t try something out, how will you know it works?”. Basic Feng Shui is really easy to apply and it brings amazing results too. So if you want to improve your life then give it a go. You can start by using the basic tips first and as you start seeing results you can move on to the more complex principles. The results that you see might feel like a coincidence, but trust me, it isn’t. It is Feng Shui at work.

Let me know if you need more information on how to start.

Happy experimenting.

Work on yourself

Feng Shui Tip: Self care

All of us have good days as well as bad days. The important thing to remember is that our attitude (during the bad days) makes a huge difference to how we deal with it. If you give up and start complaining, you will end up feeling miserable. On the other hand, if you accept that everyone goes through ups and downs, and go with the flow, with a positive attitude, you will get over the bad patch quicker and you will bounce back feeling better.

If you think about it, these low days give us the opportunity to re-group our thinking as we are not running around trying to do the daily chores, we get a chance to put some thought into our life and what we want from it and how we could make it happen. Don’t beat yourself up for resting and not doing anything productive. Our body gives us signs when it is getting run down. Be aware of the signs, listen to your body and slow down. Make time to take care of yourself and for things that make you happy.  Exercise regularly, meditate, do gardening, paint, sing, dance, play the piano, go for a game of golf, play with your children or catch up with friends for a good heart to heart talk. A change in the routine always helps. Make the change a happy one and do it often.

It is very important to maintain balance in life. When you feel well and happy, you start enjoying the mundane things in life as well. Try and use the good days to keep improving yourself. These days will act as a springboard to catapult you to a higher level of awareness and productivity in life.

Take care.

Is Feng Shui an art or a science?

Feng Shui Tip: Feng Shui- An art or science?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice of living in harmony with the energies of the earth. It uses a set of techniques and formulas, which when applied properly to one’s space, creates good luck for those living in that space. Feng Shui can be used to enhance one’s fortune, material wealth, good health, loving relationships etc. Every aspect of one’s life starts improving like magic.

So does that mean that Feng Shui is magical? Well, I think you all know the answer to that, no it is not. But it surely works like magic. Feng Shui is actually a combination of ‘Science’ and ‘Art’. We call it a science because it uses different formulas for calculations, and when we apply these formulas on a house, it brings positive results, time and time again. We have to make sure that we get the accurate readings of directions and measurements, that is why we use a reliable compass. Once we have worked out the correct directions and other dimensions, we almost always get good results, which equates to improved luck for the residents of the house. And what happens if one gets the directions wrong, well that means that they will not feel any improvement.

Feng Shui is also an art because it involves a visual assessment of our surroundings, and needs a keen sense of judgement on the part of the practitioner, when applying the various principles. One can be very creative while applying the various principles of Feng Shui. For e.g. If you need to enhance a sector with say an Earth element, you can use your personal style and display a beautiful vase made of ceramic or crystal in that corner. You can use your imagination and play around with different elements. The choices are endless. Once you have applied the correct formulas and the right elements, you should be able to see the results quickly.

I hope this post gives you a better understanding of the way Feng Shui works. I am very passionate about it and have had amazing results in my life, as well as in the lives of my client’s too.

If you are ready to experience this amazing technique then get in touch with me and watch your beautiful life improve, everyday of your life.

Have a lovely day.

Cheers.

A word on Water features

Feng Shui Tip: Water features

Water is used in Feng Shui to activate prosperity luck or wealth luck. When we talk about using water to activate any corner of our home, we are usually talking about a Yang or moving water feature. This movement of water can be created by using a pump or having fish in the water. For best results the water features should be kept clean and water should flow freely. If the water feature isn’t working properly, then make sure you fix it or get a new one. Do make sure that the flow of water is facing inwards, implying money coming in.

I was at a client’s shop yesterday. I had Feng Shui’ed her shop about a couple of months ago and wanted to see how she was going. The reason she came to me was because she wanted to improve her business turnover. She had been struggling with her business for a while now and wanted to change that. She told me that she was still in the process of putting all the cures in place. She showed me her water feature and said that she had placed it where I had asked her to put it. I asked her if she was feeling any difference in the number of customers coming into her shop and her answer was “I am not sure yet”. Well I could tell that the water feature wouldn’t be making much of a difference for her, because the water in the water feature was only dripping a few drops, I couldn’t even call it a trickle. When we use a water feature, we need to make sure that the water flow is smooth and constant. If you see the pressure slowing down, you need to add more water, clean out the pipes and the pump, if need be. I explained this to her and told her the importance of ensuring that the water flow was constant. I am hoping that she will make sure that there is enough water in the bowl, the pump is working at its optimum level and the next time I visit her, her answer to my question will be a beaming “Yes, I can see the difference now.”

Feng Shui starts working as soon as we place the right cure in the right direction (The cures include the use of the five elements we have talked about earlier – Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water). The main thing to remember here is that you have to actually apply the cures to get results. Just thinking about it won’t help. Once you have applied the cures and you still feel that there is no change in your situation, then chances are that the cures haven’t been applied properly and you need to get in touch with me asap, so that we can remedy the situation. The other thing to remember is that even though Feng Shui starts working immediately, you might not be able to see the difference, but trust me, after about six months or so, when you look back at your situation, you will see the improvement. You just need to be patient and keep doing what you are doing.

Here’s to more prosperity for all of you.

Have a wonderful day.

Cheers.

Colour combinations in Feng Shuiย

Feng Shui Tip: Colour combinations

I talked about the use of different colours in different directions, yesterday. When we use these colours in the specific directions, we enhance the energy of the element of that direction. The energy of these elements interact with the environment as well. So when we use colours which are harmonious with each other, we create a harmonious environment, likewise, when the colours are not in harmony with each other, they produce a conflicting effect.

Here is a list of the harmonious as well as conflicting colour combinations.

Harmonious colour combinations

Blue and green – can be used in East and Southest

Green and Red – can be used in South

Red and Yellow – can be used in Southwest and Northeast

Yellow and Metallic colours – can be used in West and Northwest

Metallic colours and Blue – can be used in North

Conflicting colour combinations

Green and Metallic colours

Red and Blue

Red and Black

Red and Metallic colours

Green and yellow

You can use the auspicious colour combinations in your day to day life. Use it too decorate your home, you can use them while designing your calling card or your pamphlets etc.

Enjoy playing with colours.

Cheers.

Colour therapy in Feng Shui

Feng Shui Tip: Use of colour in Feng Shui

The theory of five elements is the basis of Feng Shui. These five elements are: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. We use these five elements all the time when we apply Feng Shui in our homes. Each of these elements have certain attributes which influence the different sectors of the compass. These elements also have a certain relationship with each other. This relationship can be either productive, exhaustive or destructive. When we apply Feng Shui, we keep these relationships in mind and usually use the productive cycle if we want to enhance a certain direction, and we use the exhaustive or destructive cycle when we want to subdue a negative element.

Each element has a colour representing it. For example, the element of Water is represented by the colour blue or black, Fire element is associated with the colour red, Wood element is associated with shades of green and brown, Earth element is associated with yellow and brown, and the Metal element is represented by white, gold, silver etc.

Once we know the different colours associated with each element, we can use those colours to enhance different sectors, along with the five elements. Let’s have a look at the different directions and their related colours.

North – Blue and Black

North East – Yellow and Brown

East – Green and Brown

South East – Green and Brown

South – Red

South West – Yellow and Brown

West – White, Gold and Silver

North West – White, Gold and Silver

As you go deeper and get a better understanding of the different cycles, you will be able to use a combination of colours for each direction based on the productive, exhaustive and destructive cycle.

I will cover the different combinations of colours in my next post. Until then, happy reading.

Have a wonderful day.

Cheers.

Pine trees in the garden

Feng Shui Tip: Pine trees

Pine trees are considered a symbol of good health and long life in Feng Shui. If possible, try and plant a Pine tree in the East corner of your garden. Just having Pine trees in the garden brings good luck to the residents of the house throughout the year.

You can also use the leaves of the Pine tree as incense. Place some pine leaves on some burning wood or coal, and walk around the house, offering it to the universe/cosmos. This is a simple but powerful ritual which helps remove obstacles in your life.

You can also grow pine trees at the back of your house, symbolically creating a mountain at the back, symbolising support in your life.

Feng Shui is very simple to apply, once you understand the basic principles, but at the same time it gets more complex as we go deeper. If you are a layman who has just started out, just follow these tips and you will start seeing the improvement in your life. If you want to turn around your life completely, then get in touch with me and I can guide you through the process with a personal consultation.

Career luckย

Feng Shui Tip: Career Luck

If you have been working hard to improve your career luck and are still finding it hard to reach the top of your game, then this Feng Shui Tip is for you.

To improve your career luck you need to focus on the Noth of your home or office. You can energise the North sector of your home (or office) by placing water element or metal element. You can hang a 6 rod metal wind chime or have a water feature in the North and it will benefit your career luck immensely. The water feature can be in the form of a small electric fountain, a pond with fish in it or a swimming pool. Do remember that the water we use in this sector has to be yang water or moving water. When you have moving water, your career moves forward/upwards too.

Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions regarding this post or any other queries regarding advancing your career. My email address is shellysingh168@gmail.com.

Wishing you success in your career.

Cheers.
