I get a high every time I hear about a positive outcome from my clients. A few months ago, a lovely lady attended my Feng Shui Vision Board workshop. She was able to manifest a free book straight after attending my course. (You might remember the post in which I had shared her experience). But her aim was to manifest bigger and better things in life. Her husband had applied for a job in Switzerland and she really wanted to go. After attending the Vision Board class, she had a lot of ideas about what she was going to do, to make it happen. I hadn’t heard from her, so I thought of getting in touch with her. I sent her a message through Facebook a couple of days ago, asking her how things were going? And this was her reply, and I quote…

“Hi Shelly. 

Things are very interesting. My husband got the job. We got married and are living in a lovely apartment. My daughter is going to a really great local school. It feels like a really positive move. 

I need to make another Vision Board. Thanks for the reminder.”

Well, what can I say. I was so thrilled for her. I love it when people come back with their beautiful success stories.

Do you know, a lot of cures that we use in Feng Shui nowadays, are looked upon as ‘Superstition’ by people who do not understand how Feng Shui works. Every culture has its own sets of superstitions. I remember a few superstitions that I grew up with in India. One of them was ‘Not to cut nails at night time’. I can’t remember what the consequence was if someone did cut their nails at night. 

I am sure there was a logical explanation behind the superstition. I think it might have started a long time ago, when there was no electricity, and people avoided cutting nails at night time, because they couldn’t see what they were doing and so that they didn’t hurt themselves in the process. And, that tradition carried on through generations. I might be wrong. If you have any other explanation for this particular superstition, please let me know.

Today I am going to talk to you about Mankind Luck and how Feng Shui affects it. 
As we all know, Feng Shui is all about the energy that surrounds us. Feng Shui uses Five elements (Water, Earth, Metal, Wood and Fire) to bring the balance of energy in our surroundings. 

According to Feng Shui, every person has three kinds of luck, 

Heaven Luck also known as Destiny /Paht Chee Reading (Birth Chart), or Astrology Reading. 
Earth Luck or Feng Shui/our surroundings,

Mankind Luck or the Luck we create for ourselves, the decisions or choices we make, and our attitudes.

When we look at the ‘Luck equation’, we can see that every luck occupies 1/3 of the whole. 

Are you the kind of person who wants to improve all the time? Do you like to push your comfort zone?

I personally feel that if you are determined to improve your life, then nothing can stop you. It might take longer and it can mean a lot of hard work, but you will definitely get the results. This “attitude” that I am talking about is considered Mankind Luck (1/3). We all make different choices in our lifetime. These choices can change the course of our life immensely. 

Now, when we apply Feng Shui, we create Earth Luck (1/3), which means that we add another 1/3 of luck (Mankind + Earth Luck) on our side, making it a total of 2/3, out of the original equation. So, when we apply Feng Shui to our surroundings, we make a choice. This choice can actually make a huge positive impact on our life. And, once you apply Feng Shui, it becomes a lifestyle, so easy to follow and can be easily adapted to suit any home, anywhere in the world. Not only that, once you apply Feng Shui, your life becomes easier, things fall into place and everything starts working in the right direction for you.

Almost all flowers are considered auspicious in Feng Shui, as they bring auspicious energy as well as growth luck to a home. If you want to plant Roses in your garden, then try and go for the ones which are thornless, as flowers with thorns and prickles aren’t considered lucky, as they send out negative energy to the residents. You can use plants with thorns near the fence or wall of your home, that way they act as protective plants for the house. You can use a variety of flowering plants in your garden and activate various directions by using different colours. 

Some of the popular flowers in Feng Shui are: Magnolias, Chrysanthemums, Plum Blossom, Hyacinths, Peony and Lotus. Magnolias represent feminine grace and beauty. They also represent marital happiness and are considered a symbol of purity. They are considered auspicious for wedding bouquets due to their symbolic meaning. 

If you do not have room to grow real flowers, you can display artificial flowers instead. If  you are using artificial flowers just make sure to keep them clean and change them when they start to fade.

Happy to share with everyone that I am back at work today. I have had a relaxing and rejuvenating break and hope you had a good Christmas break too. I have lots of ideas and goals that I have set for myself, for this year, and I am raring to go. 

What is your goal for this year? What is the ‘one thing’ that you really want to achieve this year? Or does your list have more than ‘one thing’ that you want to achieve? Do you want to buy a bigger house? Do you want to improve your relationship with your spouse/partner? Do you want to improve your career luck? Do you want to improve your health? Feng Shui Tip: Marriage Luck

If you have a long term boyfriend or girlfriend who doesn’t want to commit, then displaying a Pair of Flying Geese in their bedroom could help give them a nudge towards the right direction, as Geese are symbols of marriage destiny and eternal love.

Likewise, if you want to improve your marriage and relationship luck with your spouse, then display a pair of Geese flying together, as this represents mutual happiness and  togetherness among partners.

Make sure you do not display them singly, as this suggests lonliness.
