A warm hello to all of you.
It is a cold winters day out there and I am enjoying some quality time with my gorgeous hubby, over a cup of coffee. I hope you are nice and warm too.
When you look out the window and see bleak grey skies, how do you feel? Do you enjoy the cold change or do you complain about it. You know it is very easy to start complaining about how cold (or hot) and miserable it is. But if you take a moment and shift your focus from being unhappy about it, and try and look at the positives, like the cold weather providing you the opportunity to enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee, gathering around a fire and enjoying the company of family and friends etc., then you immediately change your outlook from being that of a complainer to that of a person who is grateful, grateful for being alive and enjoying the small pleasures of life.
Every time you complain, you create circumstances which bring more problems to you and hence, gives you more reasons to complain. It is a vicious cycle. And a difficult one to get off. You attract to yourself what you think or say all the time. Once you understand this basic principle and are mindful of your speech and thoughts, and show gratitude towards everyone and everything that you have in your life, your life will change. You will start appreciating the good things that life brings to you and you will attract more of it too. But it will only happen when you start implementing this simple principle in your day to day life.
